Contemporary art gallery on the banks of the Aura River in Turku, founded in February 1988 by the Artists' Association Arte. Presents topical Finnish and international contemporary art and hosts exhibitions, concerts, performances and an international artist-residency programme; exhibitions are selected by the Arte board and the space is known as a platform for emerging and unconventional art.
Focus: New, experimental and non-commercial contemporary art; short-term exhibition programme, international artist residencies (Titanik A.i.R.), public events (music, performances) and offsite urban projects — a platform for emerging artists and unconventional practices.
