About this call
Titanik (in collaboration with HIAP) invited professional Palestinian visual artists (residing in Palestine or diaspora) to propose a one-month solo exhibition accompanied by a three-month residency (Turku + Helsinki) in spring 2025. The call emphasised recontextualisation of existing work rather than production. Offer for selected artist: artist fee €3,000 and travel budget up to €1,000; 2-month residency in Turku (apartment + studio) and 1-month residency at HIAP, Helsinki; curatorial support and facilitation of dialogue with local art scene. Application period: 2024-12-05 – 2024-12-29 (closed); decisions notified 2025-01-17. Exhibition at Titanik: 2025-04-25 – 2025-05-18; Titanik residency: 2025-04-21 – 2025-06-15; HIAP residency: 2025-06-16 – 2025-07-15. Applicants sent one PDF to titanikgallery@gmail.com. Note: residency apartments are not wheelchair accessible; Titanik can provide letters of support for visa applications but cannot guarantee visa outcomes.
