About this residency
Titanik A.i.R. offers self-directed sound-focused residencies for artists in Turku. For this call, the application period is 2 March–1 April 2022 and the residencies are for time periods January–June and September–December. The residency length is 1–3 months, with a studio (20 m²) adjoining Titanik and free accommodation in a 25 m² studio apartment within walking distance. Titanik is wheelchair accessible, but the apartment is not. Artists fund their own travel and living/working expenses. Selected residents present their practice during one public event (e.g. short installation, open studio, screening, talk or performance).
Application requirements
- Apply via the online application form. The form includes: a brief motivational statement (max 4,000 characters) and a link to a sample of recent work. Applicants must upload a CV as a PDF (max 2 pages; max 3 MB). Applications were accepted in Finnish and English.
