About this residency
A Learning Materials pilot residency for three artists based outside of Finland in the Nordic/Baltic region. The residence investigates material practices, sustainability, and biomaterials and includes a 3-month HIAP Suomenlinna residency plus a 3-day retreat to TUO TUO (Joutsa). Funded by Nordic Culture Point (pilot phase) with partner organisations including HIAP, Bioart Society, Koynẽ Program, SWAMP and TUO TUO. The residency comprises a 3-month self-directed research period, with a Learning Materials Lab and a published text as potential outputs.
