About this call
Open call for artists to participate in NOTAGALLERY’s Art Embassy project (artists as envoys). Themes: freedom, borders, identity, resistance, transformation and political/historical memory.
Key application details listed on the gallery page: Open Call launch 2025-07-02; application deadline 2025-07-30; selection announced 2025-08-15; installation period 2025-08-25–2025-08-29. The site lists the exhibition opening in early September 2025 and the overall exhibition running into January 2026 (the site contains an internal inconsistency: one section lists an exhibition end of 2025-12-20 while the main Art Embassy page lists 2026-01-20).
Application fee and participation fee: the page states an application fee of €25 (non‑refundable) and a participation fee of €80 per artwork for selected artists.
Submission method: Google Form linked on the Art Embassy page; contact for submissions/support: submit@notagallery.de. Note: the open-call page also contains inconsistent wording about sales commission (both 30% and 10% appear in different sections) — please confirm commission and final dates directly with the gallery before applying.
Application requirements
- Submissions should respond to the curatorial theme
- include artist statement, portfolio/images, contact details. Selected artists are responsible for shipping, installation and presence during installation dates
- selected artists will receive documentation and promotional support. See page for full submission checklist
