About this call
O—Overgaden’s annual exhibition Open Call (Open Call 2026) invited Danish and international artists to apply for the next year’s exhibition programme. The call requests submissions based on the artist’s overall practice (not a finished project), asks for a short motivation, a practice description, and a combined CV + documentation PDF (max 5 MB).
An administration fee of 50 DKK was introduced due to the rise of applications over the recent years. Selected artists are offered collaboration with O—Overgaden’s curatorial and technical teams, production support and an exhibition honorarium (22,500 DKK), and the institution organises opening, events, photographic documentation and a print publication. Application requirements
- Submit your application via O—Overgaden’s online application platform.
- Summary & motivation (max 1,000 characters); practice description (max 3,000 characters); CV and documentation/portfolio compiled as a single PDF (max 5 MB; recommended max ~25 images; links for time-based works).
- Applicants must have a valid credit card to pay the 50 DKK fee. By uploading material applicants consent to O—Overgaden keeping the application in archive for up to two years.
