Kaapelitehdas (the Cable Factory) is one of Finland’s largest multidisciplinary cultural centres, located in the Ruoholahti district of Helsinki. Housed in a former cable factory (building completed in 1943), it hosts over 300 cultural practitioners and organisations — including three museums (Finnish Museum of Photography, Theatre Museum, Hotel and Restaurant Museum), galleries, dance and performance companies, art schools, artists’ studios, rehearsal and production spaces, a restaurant and a café — and regularly presents exhibitions, festivals, concerts and other public events.

Focus: Multidisciplinary cultural centre and event venue: contemporary and historical exhibitions (museums and galleries), dance and performance, music and festivals, artist studios and creative production spaces, and rentable halls for concerts, fairs and other events.
