About this residency
Ateljeesäätiö (Atelier Foundation of the Artists’ Association of Finland) is inviting applications for residency and working periods at Grassina Ateljeetalo in Tuscany, Italy, for the year 2027. The house offers four studios for professional visual artists, each including a private bedroom or sleeping area. Studio sizes range from 28 m² to 57 m². One studio is equipped with an intaglio printing press, and the house features a small communal darkroom. Artists work in the house simultaneously and are permitted to bring family members. Selection is based on peer review, with consideration given to membership in member associations of the Artists’ Association of Finland.
Application requirements
- Applicants must be professional visual artists. Applications are submitted via the electronic form on the Ateljeesäätiö website. Membership in Finnish Painters' Union, Association of Finnish Printmakers, Association of Finnish Sculptors, Association of Photographic Artists, or MUU ry is taken into account during selection.
