About this residency
Open Call for photographers and artists working with analog photography who live in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and associated regions). The Darkroom Exchange (Nordic Analog Network) invites applicants for 3–6 week residencies at partner community darkrooms across the Nordics. Selected artists receive accommodation organised by the host darkroom and an artist fee (approx. €1,400–€1,600; ~15,000–18,000 NOK). A sustainable-travel option increases the fee (see application). The Open Call is free to enter. Application requires an English PDF (short bio, CV, work plan) and images (minimum 5 analog images; up to 10 images typically requested). An online information meeting is scheduled for 2026-01-15; selected artists will be announced by the end of February 2026. Darkroom-specific periods vary (examples listed on the network page). Note: Mörk is a network partner but the network’s darkroom listing indicates Mörk has “No planned offer of residency 2026” — read each darkroom page before applying.
