Vals Galleri is a community-run exhibition space at Skolgatan 40 in Umeå. Exhibiting artists are selected by the association's board. The gallery welcomes portfolio submissions year-round, but the deadline for the 2027 exhibition year is April 7, 2026. To apply, send a single PDF (named firstname_lastname) containing portfolio, exhibition proposal, CV, and contact details to valsforening@gmail.com. Selected artists apply with Vals for exhibition compensation according to the MU agreement (if eligible), but the gallery does not cover production, transport, travel, or accommodation.
