About this call
The Association of Finnish Sculptors (in cooperation with Welsh partners) is organizing a sculpture symposium in June 2025 in the Welsh village of Llansillin. Through an open call, five member artists will be selected to create “burning sculptures” (made from safe waste material), culminating in a public evening where the works are burned with live music, documented for future use. Application requirements
- Applicants must be members of the Association of Finnish Sculptors who have paid their membership fee. Apply via the online form; the form requests: (1) why you are applying, (2) whether you have previous symposium experience, (3) whether you are willing to travel by land, and (4) a link to your website/online portfolio. If you prefer, you can email your portfolio PDF to sculptors@sculptors.fi.
