About this call
National open call for performative artworks (performances or other interventions) located in public urban spaces where the audience can encounter the work spontaneously. Chosen artists are paid an all-inclusive fee for production; up to 10 artworks are selected. The selected performances must take place during 2026 and are curated by artist Nestori Syrjälä as part of the ARToulu art area project (European Capital of Culture 2026 programme).
Application requirements
- Send a single PDF application (project proposal + portfolio + CV) by the deadline. The proposal does not need to include all production details—an overview of the final artwork is most important. Application can be made in Finnish or English.
