About this call
Warbling's international open call titled "Thrown Over Small shoulders" invites submissions of quiet, subtle contemporary artworks across painting, sculpture, installation, photography and related visual media. Selected works will be shown in a pop-up exhibition in London. Submission fee £25; artists may submit up to five pieces. Works must be new (2021–2025) and should ideally not exceed 200 cm width; ceiling-hung works cannot be accommodated. Image-upload, video link and shipping instructions are on the open-call page. Deadline extended to Saturday 1 November 2025, 11:59 PM (GMT).
Application requirements
- Artists may submit up to five distinct pieces. Images must be uploaded to the submission form and titled: 'Title, Year, Medium, Dimensions (cm), Price (GBP£), First Name and Surname'. Image uploads ideally up to 5MB each. Video links accepted with password. Works must be new within the last three years (2021–2025). Works should ideally not exceed 200cm width; ceiling-hung works cannot be accommodated. Shipping to London and insurance are the artist's responsibility (Warbling will arrange and pay returns for artists based outside Greater London if selected).
