Founded in 1991 by Ilona Anhava (merged with Galerie Artek in 1997). Galerie Anhava focuses on contemporary Finnish and Nordic art and presents exhibitions across all media — painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation — with particular emphasis on conceptual practices. The gallery is committed to long-term representation of emerging, mid-career and established artists and takes an active role internationally, participating in major art fairs.
Focus: Contemporary Finnish and Nordic visual art; exhibitions across all media; long-term artist representation (approximately 30 represented artists); international exhibition and art-fair activity; exhibitions and artist representation mainly by invitation (no general open calls).
