Public municipal exhibition hall in central Malmö, one of Northern Europe’s largest and most light-filled spaces for contemporary art. Designed by architect Klas Anshelm and opened in 1975, the building (with a domed, north-lit ceiling and a large skylight) offers flexible, circa 2,000 m² exhibition space for both large-scale installations and intimate presentations. The Konsthall presents a changing programme of international, national and local contemporary art, extensive education and public programmes, and is free to enter.
