Galleria K

Galleria K is the shared exhibition space operated by Vantaa Art Museum Artsi and the Vantaa Artists' Association, located next to the Vantaa City Hall in Tikkurila, Finland. The building was completed in 1957 as Vantaa's main library and was designed by architects Olli and Eija Saijonmaa; the annex beside the Town Hall was converted into a gallery during the Town Hall's refurbishment in 2013. In addition to temporary exhibitions, Galleria K hosts seminars, lectures, cultural events, and City hospitality occasions. The Galleria also houses the Vantaa Artists' Association's Taidelainaamo (art lending shop), where works by member artists can be bought or rented; the lending shop also offers cards, books and calendars. Half of Gallery K's exhibitions are produced by the Vantaa Artists' Association and half by Artsi.
