Valokuvakeskus Nykyaika

Photographic Centre Nykyaika is an open meeting place for photography enthusiasts and artists in the heart of Tampere, Finland. It houses two gallery spaces and a public reference library with approximately 800 books on photographic art. Admission to exhibitions, the reference library, and events is free. Based in central Tampere, it functions as a regional photographic centre with a broad exhibition programme, and it hosts monthly talks, lectures, and workshops with exhibiting artists. It also co-organizes the Backlight Photo Festival in Tampere with local and international partners.
