Independent artist-run exhibition space in the Ørestad district of Copenhagen occupying a large (reported ~1,300 m²) underground former bike-parking turned exhibition hall. Founded and run by a group of visual artists (Markus von Platen, Christian Vindelev, Toke Flyvholm and Jan S. Hansen), Simian programs experimental contemporary art exhibitions, events and sound/music performances.
Focus: Artist-run, experimental contemporary art exhibitions and events (installation, sound and performance programmes); large underground, site-specific exhibition space hosting national and international artists and occasional public programmes.
